- City Psalms
- Boys to Men Tucson, Inc.
- Erik Hite Foundation
One particularly touching story comes from Douglas Arc, a nonprofit providing job skills training to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. When Douglas Arc submitted a request, it kindled fond memories of the nonprofit – an organization which Doug Zanes’ late father supported throughout his life in their hometown of Douglas, Az. Doug recalled seeing Butch, a participant in the program, mow the lawns as his way to make a living. (we recently learned Butch is still there and doing well 30 years later). Doug was deeply moved when he noticed the request for funding was going to help Douglas Arc purchase two commercial-grade lawn mowers, which will last for years!
Claudia Zanes, co-founder of Zanes Law, expressed her excitement for this year’s recipients, stating, “It is truly inspiring to witness the incredible impact these organizations have on our community. As we celebrate 20 years, we are honored to continue supporting their vital work.”
Doug Zanes, co-founder, added, “We are so honored to give back to the community that built us. It’s been such a wonderful journey for our entire team, and this experience has been deeply rewarding.”
Press is cordially invited to attend the award presentation ceremony on Wednesday, December 13th to capture the joyous moments and stories of these exceptional nonprofits.
